Charlie Chaplin caricature

Since my childhood I like to draw caricatures. Not constantly, every now and then. When I was 15 or 16 I really drew a lot of them, big heads in colored pencil. That must have been a good lesson. But they were not good yet, I still had everything to learn.
This one here, Charlie Chaplin, is the first one that I thought was good enough to show to the outside world. I drew it with a small profile pen and chinese ink. I think I was in my early twenties then.

Everyone knows Charlie Chaplin as a very funny slapstick actor... But he was more than that...

But he was a very funny actor and he received many high honors and was knighted in 1975 by Queen Elisabeth of England.
He died in his sleep on Christmas Day 1977, aged 88.

His body was stolen on March 8, 1978! The plan to demand ransom failed and the thieves were arrested.
The corpse was found 11 weeks later near Lake Geneva and reburied under 180cm of concrete!
